This explains what DPFDIRECTSOLUTIONS LTD, trading as DPF Direct Solutions, does with your personal information when you contact us, book a DPF clean or visit this website.
Who we are
DPFDIRECTSOLUTIONS LTD is responsible for your information (the "controller" in data protection law).
- Registered in England and Wales, company number 17536782
- Registered office: 49 Finnemore Road, Birmingham B9 5XN
- Email: info@dpfdirectsolutions.co.uk
- Phone: 07508 870352
What we collect
When you call, WhatsApp or email us: your name, phone number, email address if you use email, the address where you want the clean done, your car's make, model and registration, and what you tell us about the problem.
When we do the job: what work we did, the price, payment records and any warranty claim.
When you visit this website: our hosting provider records technical details such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, so it can run and protect the site. If you accept cookies, Google Ads also records whether you reached us from one of our adverts. More on that under Cookies.
Why we use it
Data protection law asks us to give a lawful basis for each use.
- To quote you and book the clean
- Steps you've asked us to take before a contract
- To carry out the clean, take payment and handle warranty claims
- Performing our contract with you
- To keep tax and accounting records
- Legal obligation
- To run and secure the website
- Legitimate interests (keeping the site working and safe)
- To see which adverts lead to calls
- Your consent, only if you accept cookies
- To deal with complaints or legal claims
- Legitimate interests (protecting the business)
We don't sell your information, and we won't send you marketing messages unless you've agreed to receive them.
Who we share it with
Only the companies we need to run the business:
- IONOS, which hosts this website and our email
- Google, for Google Ads measurement if you accept cookies, and for Google Fonts, which loads the lettering on this site from Google's servers and so receives your IP address
- WhatsApp (Meta), if you message us there
- our phone provider, our accountant, and our payment provider if you pay by card
- HMRC or other authorities, when the law requires it
Some of these providers may handle information outside the UK. Where they do, they use the safeguards UK data protection law requires.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that don't lead to a booking: up to 12 months
- Job, payment and warranty records: 6 years after the end of the financial year they relate to, because tax rules require it
- Google Ads cookies: for the period Google sets, which you can see and clear in your browser settings
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- give you a copy of the information we hold about you
- correct anything that's wrong
- delete your information, where we don't have to keep it by law
- limit how we use it, or stop using it where we rely on legitimate interests
- give you your information in a format you can pass to someone else
Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. To use any of these rights, email info@dpfdirectsolutions.co.uk. We'll reply within one month.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We'd appreciate the chance to sort it out with you first.
Cookies
This site doesn't set advertising cookies unless you accept them.
If you accept, Google Ads sets cookies that tell us when someone who clicked one of our adverts taps a call or WhatsApp link (this does not confirm a completed call or booking). We don't use them to show you personalised adverts.
Your choice is saved in your browser so we don't ask you on every visit. That record is needed to remember what you chose, so it doesn't need consent.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we use your information, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
